Edinburgh Tattoo

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of Edinburgh's most symbolic events. Set against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, it has presented an individual blend of music and military theatre since the event first took place in 1950.

More than 12 million people have experienced this spectacular event and over 40 countries have been represented with an array of different bands and displays.

Highlights of the event include piping and drumming and highland dance, as well as the chance to enjoy fresh and exciting performances from some of the world's greatest talent. Over some 50 years the Tattoo has seen performers from more than 40 countries including Australia, Canada, Africa, Fiji, France and Nepal.
